Duas and pray on Laylat Alkadr

The prophet Muhammed peace be upon him was keen on increasing and insisting on supplication and praying on Laylat Alkadr frequently mentioning the Quranic verses that include supplication, and that is because the response to supplication is hoped for in this great night since worship in it is better than a thousand months.

The supplications on Laylat al-Qadr, according to what the Companions – may Allah be pleased with them – narrated from him, as follows:

According to Hadith on Laylatul Qadr, when Aisha asked Prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H how she should pray to Allah on Laylatul Qadr, she was told to recite this Dua for Laylat al Qadr dua with a sincere heart:

“O Allah You are the most merciful and forgiving, You love to forgive thus forgive us”.

Another Dua narrated by Abu Hurairah may god be pleased with him on the authority of the prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H: “There is no supplication that a servant calls upon better than, O God, I ask you for pardon in this world and the hereafter”

“Our Lord, praise be to You, the fullness of the heavens and the earth, and the fullness of whatever You will after, the people of praise and glory, the most deserving of what the servant said, and we are all Your servants.

While Dhikr and Quran reading is usually well-known, several other means could be included in laylat AlQadr that are also Quranic. For example: Thanking God, Praising and Glorifying Him, Commemorating God, Pray on Laylat Alkadr, and seeking his Forgiveness; all these serve to have the best out of this night making it more fulfilling and enriching.

This Night was destined to illuminate the whole world with the advent of the Qur’an as the Final Revelation. It is indicated that God has blessed humankind with the brightest, most immaculate radiance of knowledge and enlightenment to wipe away all darkness, ignorance, and degradation.
